HEALTH EDUCATION CLASSES
PRENATAL ONE-DAY
A class covering topics such as recognizing signs and symptoms of labor, what happens in the delivery process, information on breast and bottle feeding, and new mother and newborn care. Classes are taught by a registered nurse. A tour of the Women's Center is included.

WOMEN'S CENTER TOUR AND BIRTH PLAN CONSULTATIONS
Take a tour of the Women's Center at Decatur General. Spouses and children are welcome. Learn about pre-registration options and how to develope a birth plan. Registration is preferred for tours. Please call 341-3400.
HOW TO BREASTFEED
If you are a new or expectant mother, this workshop will answer your questions about nursing newborn. Classes are taught by a certified lactation consultant. For questions regarding breastfeeding, please call 341-2966. Cost is $10.00.

SIBLING CLASS
Children are naturally concerned about the arrival of a new brother sister. This class helps children, ages 3-8,understand changes in their familes and helps them prepare for their new role.

PEDIATRIC BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (CPR)

HEARTSAVER (CPR)
This one day class is for anyone who would like to learn the techniques of one-person CPR and obstructed airway rescue for any adult victim. Must be least 12 years old. Cost is $20.00.

SAFE SITTER
A one-day course taught by certified Safe Sitter instructors that addresses basic child care, injury prevention, accident management, rescue breathing, safety for the sitter and much more. Snacks will be provided and participants will receive a bag filled with goodies and useful resources upon completion of the course. Must be at least 11 years old. Cost is $40.00

GIRL TALK
This single-evening program is specifically designed for pre-teen girls, ages 9-12, and their parents. Girl Talk addresses topics such as maturation,hygiene, and self-esteem.
