Breast Cancer Screening

Each October, Decatur General celebrates National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by offering reduced-price screening mammograms. Our goal is to not only assist those women who cannot afford a mammogram, but to encourage all women over 40 who have never had a mammogram to get their first baseline screening. The screening is designed for women with no previous symptoms, and includes a review of your results by a radiologist.

Prostate Cancer Screening

As one of the deadliest, and yet most-treatable cancers when detected early, prostate cancer continues to be a concern for our community. Fortunately, in as little as 20 minutes, men can have a routine screening and blood test that can potentially save their lives. Each August, Decatur General offers a prostate cancer screening which includes a PSA blood test and examination in an effort to stop the growth of this disease.
