WHO IS DECATUR GENERAL

 

Decatur General is a 273-bed, general acute care hospital and 63-bed psychiatric hospital located in Decatur, Alabama. As a not-for-profit hospital, Decatur General is operated on behalf of the community by an administrative team led by the President/CEO with the oversight of an appointed Board of Director’s. Decatur General is incorporated under the Heathcare Authority Act of Alabama and is accredited by the Joint Commission.  The hospital is one of thirty-five hospitals in the State of Alabama incorporated under the Healthcare Authorities Act of 1982.  Decatur General is the third largest employer in Morgan County with a medical staff of more than 200 physicians representing 20 specialties.
